THE FULL STORY

You bring it, I'll paint it.

As a kid I spent my time finding all the art supplies I could in order to create as much art as possible. As I grew up I hunted for new canvases. With my love for surf and art, I joined the two together and painted my first surfboard. People at my surf spot began complimenting me and many would ask if I could do the same to theirs.

Summer 2018 I was presented the job opportunity to hand paint wine glasses for a small business in LBI. I had found another canvas to spread my art upon. In between orders I began coming up with my own new designs and ideas. This lead to the creation of Grom Designs. A Grom is a young talented surfer and a term used for most extreme sports. Continuing my connection of surfing and art I named my small business Grom Designs.

So, now I would like to introduce myself. I am Sophia Joy Hein, a young surf inspired artist on the hunt for all the canvases I can find.
